Dr. Brown is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has practiced ophthalmology in Tucson since 1980. He previously was the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Thomas Davis Medical Centers and now practices part-time with the University of Arizona Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science. Prior to medical school, he spent three years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Ethiopia. Dr. Brown received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and interned at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. After three years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Surgeon, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Oakland Naval Regional Medical Center. He continued in the U.S. Naval Reserves and retired from the U.S. Navy as a CAPT in the Medical Corp. Dr. Brown is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, and the Arizona Ophthalmological Society.
