Rand Siekert, OD
Dr. Siekert performs general eye exams and specializes in contact lenses and refractive surgery. His contact lens interests include general cosmetic fittings and medically needed contact lens cases such as keratoconus, aphakia (pediatric and adult), post corneal transplants, and corneal trauma. He is a member of the refractive surgery team that uses laser photorefractive keratectomy and radial keratotomy for the correction of myopia (nearsightedness) and low amounts of astigmatism. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Dr. Siekert earned his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined The University Physicians in 1996, after spending five years at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, where he was involved with glaucoma and cataract care, as well as being the director of the contact lens service. Dr. Siekert is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Arizona Optometric Association. |
