Welcome to the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science. The Department offers state-of-the-art ophthalmology services to patients visiting our clinic and also provides medical education, training programs, and research in preserving vision. Our physician-professors are exceptionally skilled clinicians with remarkable educational backgrounds. The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science is one of the few clinics in Southern Arizona staffed with specialists in the areas of cornea, cataract, glaucoma, retina, pediatrics, ocular plastics, and refractive surgery. We also staff two Doctors of Optometry who provide routine eye care.

The professional staff at the Department strive to treat all of our patients with dignity and respect and suport all efforts to preserve patient/physician confidientiality. Our goal is to offer patients a positive eye care experience along with convenience in selecting appropriate prescription eyewear. Upon completing their eye exam, patients are introduced to the Optical Shop, next to our clinic, where they may purchase eyeglasses and contact lenses. The Optical Shop is staffed with licensed professionals who offer quality products and care to patients in a friendly, courteous manner.
